To process applications faster, we may move some of our application work to other field offices. Under USCIS policy cell phone, video, and audio recording, as well as traditional and cell phone photography are all prohibited in USCIS field offices, unless specifically allowed during naturalization ceremonies. Under certain circumstances, you may be able to pay with personal or business checks drawn on a U.S. bank and payable in U.S. funds, if you are eligible for a paper fee payment exemption. We accept payments at our field office locations through Pay.gov for the following forms in limited circumstances. You cannot file online if you are requesting a fee waiver or a reduced fee; you must file a paper Form N-400. If you submit Form N-400 on paper, we will mail you a USCIS Account Acceptance Notice with instructions on how to create an online account to track and manage your case. If you are requesting a reduced fee or filing a fee waiver, you cannot file Form N-400 online. Federal agencies that propose new regulations or forms, or changes to existing regulations or forms, generally publish notices in the Federal Register and provide a specific period of time to receive public comments.

Share sensitive information only on official, secure websites.
